India has aspired to be a solicitor since she was 16 years-old after completing a law subject at school.  She found fascinating the concept that society is regulated by a large amount of laws that mostly go unnoticed.

After her first semester studying law and arts at university, India knew she wanted to pursue criminal law.  She changed her arts degree to a criminology degree as well as seeking practical experience in criminal law at Bamberry Lawyers Pty Ltd.

India gravitated towards criminal law specifically as it fulfils her passion for helping others.  She feel that she has a lot to offer in criminal law as clients in this area are often in the most stressful situation of their lives.  They may have lost family, friends, employment or their mental sanity as a result of criminal charges.

When India graduates, she hopes to help give individuals a voice who may not otherwise be able to express themselves or their situation.  She also hopes that she can make a positive difference to clients going through the stressful process of facing criminal charges.  India’s character is to above and beyond to help others. We believe that India will be very successful in her career as a Lawyer when she graduates.

Director Mark Bamberry wants to solve everyones’ problems.  He is driven by his desire to help people overcome difficult situations.  He doesn’t judge people – there’s more than enough Lawyers who do that.  That is why Mark is different to other Lawyers.  He genuinely wants to help you through a difficult period.

Mark listens carefully to your problem before explaining the legal solution to you.  Most clients say that they hadn’t met a Lawyer who could explain the law so well, until they spoke to Mark.

Mark has a Bachelor of Laws (Class B Honours) from Bond University.  He also has a degree in Business from Griffith University.  He’s been a Solicitor since 1997. In his legal career, Mark has worked for the highly regarded law firms Collas Moro Ross and Allan Dick Solicitors. In 2007, he formed Bamberry Lawyers Pty Ltd.  Later in 2009, he formed Gold Coast Traffic Lawyer together with Jacqui Dalling.

Mark has practiced in criminal law for the last 19 years and is a highly experienced advocate. He attends Court for bail applications, pleas, committals, adjournments and other matters. If you have a matter in Brisbane, Beenleigh, Beaudesert or Ipswich, he can also help you out.  He also represents respondents in the Domestic Violence Court.

Some Lawyers go to court occasionally.  Not Mark Bamberry. He has the knowledge base that comes from someone who goes to Court each day – not every now and again.

Having acted in some of the highest profile criminal cases in Queensland including murder, manslaughter, drug trafficking and boiler room operations, Mark doesn’t seek out media publicity.  He understands that appearing in Court is embarrassing and that clients do not want a show pony as their criminal defence lawyer.  They want someone who works hard, knows the law and quietly achieves an outcome, with as little publicity as possible.

Mark has been an accredited duty lawyer since 2000.  Bamberry Lawyers Pty Ltd is on regular rotation for services in the Southport Magistrates Court. In 2018, Mark was recommended by Doyles on the Leading Criminal Defence Lawyers List for Queensland.

Contact Mark Bamberry and see how he can help you with your criminal, domestic violence or traffic law problem.  You will be thankful you did.

Initially Sam started studying and practising in Criminal Law because he enjoys a challenge.  Sam completed his law degree at University of Queensland.  After he completed his law degree and professional legal training, Sam was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as a Solicitor in 2011.

Sam has worked exclusively in Criminal Law since he became a Lawyer.  After being a Solicitor for the last 8 years, what motivates Sam now is his ability to help clients through what is often the most difficult time of their lives.  Clients charged with criminal offences often face extremely tough decisions, as well as possible life-changing consequences from those decisions. Sam is able to help people navigate through difficult issues and achieve positive results.

He has a wealth of experience in complex criminal matters. Not many criminal lawyers have experience in international extradition proceedings – but Sam does.  He can act on behalf of clients for Supreme Court bail hearings, complex frauds and drug trafficking operations.  He appears daily in the Magistrates Court on traffic and less serious criminal matters, such as drug possession and assaults. Sam regularly appears in the District and Supreme Courts as a Solicitor-Advocate for his clients.  He is as comfortable with the most complex of cases as he is with the straight forward prosecutions.

In 2018, Sam was recognised by the Queensland Law Society for his competency, knowledge and expertise in the practice of criminal law and was accepted as an Accredited Specialist.  The Queensland Law Society recognised Sam’s knowledge amongst the graduating Accredited Specialists in Criminal Law by giving him the Highest Achiever Award.  Sam has joined a very select group of highly-regarded Lawyers in Queensland who share the accolade as an Accredited Specialist.  Although he has obtained his Specialist Accreditation, Sam acknowledges that you cannot stop learning and improving, so he aims to continually challenge himself to be better.

A strong sense of justice drives Sam. His passion ensures both fairness and the protection of client’s rights against authoritarian abuse. Difficult situations are his speciality.  He is an experienced and knowledgeable advocate.
